CPH Terminal 1 Map & Guide
This page offers insights into the layout and features of Terminal 1 at Copenhagen Airport. Although Terminal 1 is no longer operational for departures, you can discover how the airport's current design facilitates smooth travel experiences through Terminals 2 and 3, including details on the shared airside concourse and its various piers.
Terminal 1 Info & Layout
At Copenhagen Airport, Terminal 1 previously served as the hub for domestic flights. However, since March 29, 2015, all flight departures, both domestic and international, have been consolidated in Terminals 2 and 3. While Terminal 1 is no longer in operation for passenger departures, the airport's layout now focuses on a shared airside concourse accessible through Terminals 2 and 3.
The airside area is organized into several piers: A, B, C, D, E, and F, each serving specific flight routes. Piers A and B cater exclusively to Schengen area flights, while Pier C handles primarily non-Schengen flights. Pier D is also designated for Schengen flights. Pier F, originally known as CPH Go, is dedicated to low-cost carriers like EasyJet, Transavia, and Ryanair.
Access to the main terminals and the shared airside concourse is facilitated by a common security check located between Terminals 2 and 3, ensuring streamlined passenger flow. The airport's design allows for easy transfers between piers and terminals, making it convenient for travelers with connecting flights.
A notable feature of Copenhagen Airport is its continuous development to accommodate modern air travel needs. For instance, Pier E, completed in May 2019, now hosts most of SAS's long-haul flights, enhancing the airport's capacity and service offerings.
While Terminal 1 is no longer active for passenger services, Copenhagen Airport remains a well-connected and efficiently organized hub for both domestic and international travelers, with a focus on seamless transitions and comprehensive amenities.
