Terminal 2 Info & Layout

Terminal 2 at Dubai International Airport primarily handles flights within the Persian Gulf region and to the Indian subcontinent, making it a hub for budget travelers. It serves over 50 airlines, with Air India Express and flydubai being the major operators. The terminal has a capacity of 10 million passengers annually, following expansions and refurbishments.

Terminal 2 features 43 remote stands but does not have jetbridges, so passengers are transported to the aircraft via buses. The terminal has 37 check-in counters, and the boarding area has been designed to allow multiple flights to board simultaneously, enhancing efficiency.

Amenities within Terminal 2 include a spacious boarding area with natural light, a variety of dining options, and a Dubai Duty-Free shopping area covering 2,400 m² in departures and 540 m² in arrivals. A recent refurbishment has improved the check-in and boarding facilities, as well as the interior and exterior décor of the terminal.

Access to Terminal 2 is separate from Terminals 1 and 3, which are located on the opposite side of the airport. Passengers cannot move between Terminal 2 and the other terminals internally; instead, they must use taxi services or public transport available outside the terminal. A shuttle service connects Terminal 2 to Terminals 1 and 3, with journey times of approximately 20 minutes to Terminal 1 and 30 minutes to Terminal 3.

One unique feature of Terminal 2 is its proximity to the Executive Flights Terminal, which offers exclusive check-in facilities for premium passengers.
