Terminal 8 Info & Layout

Terminal 8 at New York Kennedy Airport (JFK) is a significant hub for Oneworld airlines, primarily handling international flights. American Airlines operates its hub from this terminal, which is the largest passenger terminal at JFK. Other major airlines operating from Terminal 8 include British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, Qantas, Qatar Airways, Royal Jordanian, and China Southern Airlines.

The terminal features 31 gates, divided between two concourses: Concourse B with 14 gates (1–8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20) and Concourse C with 17 gates (31–47). Passengers can access Concourse C via a tunnel equipped with moving walkways, ensuring smooth transit between concourses.

Terminal 8 offers a wide array of amenities and services to enhance the traveler experience, including dozens of retail and dining options, 84 ticket counters, 44 self-service kiosks, and ten security checkpoint lanes. Additionally, it houses a U.S. Customs and Border Protection facility capable of processing over 1,600 passengers per hour. For premium passengers and frequent flyers, Terminal 8 provides an American Airlines Admirals Club and three luxury lounges: the Greenwich, Soho, and Chelsea lounges.

Travelers can access Terminal 8 via the AirTrain JFK, which connects all terminals and offers easy transit to and from other parts of the airport. The terminal's unique feature is its massive size, being twice as large as Madison Square Garden, and its capacity to handle 12.8 million passengers annually, making it a noteworthy part of JFK's infrastructure.
