Captain Laura Einsetler
Captain Laura is a seasoned commercial airline pilot currently flying as a captain for a major U.S. carrier. She is qualified on several aircraft, including the Boeing 767, 757, 737, Airbus 320, Lockheed L-188 (civilian P-3), and Convair 580, and has experience flying international and domestic routes as well as military contracts.
In addition to her extensive flying experience, Captain Laura is a flight and ground instructor, certified in multi-engine, commercial flight, and instrument instruction. She has taught all levels of flying and ground school, and is also qualified on various twin and single-engine aircraft and aerobatic aircraft.
Captain Laura holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. She serves as a CBS National News Aviation Consultant under an extended contract and has previously been a CNN National News Aviation Consultant. Her media presence includes appearances on large regional TV markets, national radio, podcasts, and talk shows.
An accomplished author, Captain Laura has written "From Your Captain, Welcome Aboard!," a guidebook to empower passengers and enhance their aviation and operational knowledge for a better travel experience; "Lost and Found," a journey of perseverance and resilience, detailing a pilot mother's struggle and sacrifice to save her son from a mystery illness; and "Captain," a made-for-streaming series that takes place onboard a current-day airline flight and in flashbacks, telling the story of the captain overcoming challenges to become the person she is today.
Captain Laura is also a guest speaker at numerous events related to aviation, health, and child development, and shares her knowledge and empowerment through her blog at www.CaptainLaura.com. Additionally, she has served as the Director of Operations for Wanda Collins Airshows, Inc., and as Line Service Manager at Woodland Airport, CA. Captain Laura is a proud member of the Ninety-Nines International Woman Pilots Association, where she has been awarded "Pilot of the Year" and received a scholarship for her contributions to aviation.
