Air Arabia: Aircraft Fleet
Air Arabia is a low-cost airline based in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The airline operates a fleet of Airbus A320 family aircraft, which are manufactured by the European aircraft manufacturer Airbus. Air Arabia has a total of 56 aircraft in its fleet.
The majority of Air Arabia's fleet consists of Airbus A320-200 aircraft, with a total of 44 in operation. The airline also operates six Airbus A321-200 aircraft, which are larger than the A320 and can carry more passengers. In addition, Air Arabia has six Airbus A320neo aircraft, which are a newer version of the A320 and are more fuel-efficient than the older models.
Over the years, Air Arabia has made several significant deals regarding its aircraft fleet. In 2007, the airline signed a deal with Airbus to purchase 34 A320 aircraft, which was the largest single order for the A320 at the time. In 2019, Air Arabia signed a lease agreement with Air Lease Corporation for six Airbus A321neo LR aircraft, which are a longer-range version of the A321.
