Air Canada Partnerships & Alliances

Air Canada is part of the Star Alliance, having joined in 1997. This means that Air Canada has access to a vast network of airlines and destinations, including major hubs in North America, Europe, and Asia.

Air Canada has several major codeshare agreements with other airlines, including United Airlines, Lufthansa, and Air China. These agreements allow Air Canada to offer its customers access to even more destinations and routes around the world.

In addition to its codeshare agreements, Air Canada has several notable partnerships with other airlines and corporations. One such partnership is with Cathay Pacific, with whom Air Canada has a joint venture for flights between Canada and Hong Kong. Air Canada also has a joint venture with Air New Zealand for flights between Canada and New Zealand.

Air Canada also partners with several hotel chains, car rental companies, and other travel-related businesses to offer its customers a complete travel experience. These partnerships include Marriott, Hertz, and Avis, among others.
