Air Europa Pet Policy
Air Europa is committed to ensuring the comfort and safety of all passengers, including those traveling with pets. Whether you have a small pet that can fit in the cabin or a larger pet that needs to be transported in the hold, Air Europa has specific policies in place to accommodate your furry friends.
If you are planning to travel with pets, it's important to note that Air Europa cannot transport animals to or from the UK. However, each passenger is allowed to travel with up to five pets on other routes. For more information and to make pet reservations, you can contact the Air Europa Customer Service Team at (844) 415-3955.
In the cabin, Air Europa allows small pets such as dogs, cats, household birds, fish, aquarium turtles, hamsters, guinea pigs, and small rabbits. The combined weight of the pet and carrier should not exceed 22 lbs (10 kg). Depending on the destination, there is a pet fee ranging from $27 USD to $165 USD. Please note that prices are subject to possible surcharges when traveling to certain countries.

If your pet is unable to travel in the cabin, Air Europa also allows certain animals to be transported as checked baggage. This includes amphibians, insects, crustaceans, reptiles (except tortoises), rodents (except hamsters, guinea pigs, or small rabbits), ferrets, and some dog breeds. Up to three pets of the same species can be transported in the same carrier, as long as the maximum size and weight limits are not exceeded. The weight limit for pets and carriers in the hold is 110 lbs (50 kg). The pet fees for checked baggage vary depending on the destination, ranging from $100 USD to $350 USD.
If you need to transport other animals in the hold that are not covered under the checked baggage policy, you can contact the Air Europa Cargo team at (934) 90-40-38 for more information.
When traveling with pets, it's important to adhere to the allowed weights and dimensions. For pets traveling in the cabin, carriers should not exceed the dimensions of 21" x 14" x 10" (55 cm x 35 cm x 25 cm), and the weight limitation for pets and carriers is 17 lbs (8 kg). For pets traveling in the hold, carriers must be IATA-approved with a metal door. Wire mesh or welded mesh containers are not acceptable. It is also crucial to mark your pet's carrier with your name, address, and contact telephone number clearly and visibly.
There are certain restrictions and limitations when it comes to transporting pets on Air Europa. Brachycephalic (snub-nose) breeds, including Boston Terriers, Boxers, Brussels Griffons, Chines Pugs, Chow Chows, Dutch Pugs, English Bulldogs, and more, can only be accepted in the cabin and not in the hold. Additionally, certain cat breeds such as American Burmese, Exotic, Himalayan, Persian, and British Shorthair cannot travel in the hold.
Keep in mind that air carriers can change these policies at any time, so you should always check directly with the airline you are traveling on before you book for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
