Allegiant: Aircraft Fleet
Allegiant is an American low-cost airline that operates a fleet of 100 aircraft. The airline primarily operates a mix of Airbus and McDonnell Douglas aircraft.
The Airbus fleet consists of 44 A319-100 and A320-200 aircraft. These aircraft are used for both domestic and international flights. The A319-100 has a seating capacity of 156 passengers, while the A320-200 can accommodate up to 186 passengers.
The McDonnell Douglas fleet consists of 56 MD-80 series aircraft. These aircraft are primarily used for domestic flights and have a seating capacity of 166 passengers.
In 2016, Allegiant announced a deal with Airbus to purchase 12 new A320ceo aircraft. These aircraft are expected to be delivered between 2018 and 2019 and will be used to replace some of the older MD-80 series aircraft.
Allegiant also has a deal with Airbus to purchase 50 new A320neo aircraft. These aircraft are expected to be delivered between 2021 and 2025 and will be used to further expand the airline's route network.
