Allegiant Pet Policy
Allegiant Air is a popular choice for travelers looking to bring their furry friends along on their journeys. With their pet-friendly policies, you can rest assured that your beloved companion will be well taken care of during your flight.
Before being accepted on board, all pet carriers must be inspected at the airport to ensure that the pet and carrier are in compliance with the guidelines. If you have any questions or concerns regarding availability or requirements, you can contact the Allegiant Customer Service Team at (702) 505-8888.
Small dogs and cats are welcome in the cabin with Allegiant if the flight is within the contiguous 48 United States, San Juan, and Puerto Rico. Passengers over 15 years old are permitted to bring one pet carrier with a maximum of two pets inside. It is important to note that pets must remain fully inside their carrier underneath the seat in front of you for the duration of the flight. They are not considered as part of the carry-on baggage limitations. Please keep in mind that a non-refundable fee of $50 per segment per carrier applies for all pets.

Unfortunately, Allegiant does not permit pets to fly as checked baggage. Therefore, your furry friend must accompany you in the cabin.
For pets traveling in the cabin, carriers must be no larger than 9" x 16" x 19" (22 cm x 40 cm x 48 cm). These carriers must be approved, soft-sided, and leak-proof. It is important to ensure that your pet can stand and turn around comfortably inside the carrier.
As of January 11, 2021, Allegiant no longer accepts reservations that include Emotional Support Animals. This change is in line with the evolving industry standards and regulations.
Keep in mind that air carriers can change these policies at any time, so you should always check directly with Allegiant before you book for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
