Asiana Airlines Pet Policy
Asiana Airlines welcomes small dogs, cats, and household birds to travel in the cabin with their owners. The combined weight of the pet and carrier should not exceed 15 lbs (7 kg). It is important to note that pets must remain inside a carrier for the entire duration of the journey. Each passenger is allowed to bring one pet per carrier, unless they have two puppies under six months, two kittens under six months, a mother and a baby pet, or a pair of birds who can travel together. The carrier must fit under the seat in front of you throughout the flight. The fee for this service ranges from $140 to $290.
If your pet and carrier exceed the weight limit for cabin travel, Asiana Airlines allows pets to be transported as checked baggage. The combined weight of the pet and carrier should not exceed 99 lbs (45 kg). Animals weighing up to 70 lbs (32 kg) are charged the same fees as pets in the cabin. For animals weighing between 70-99 lbs (32-45 kg), the fee ranges from $290 to $590.
In cases where pets do not meet the requirements for cabin or checked baggage travel, they can be transported in the cargo hold. Pets weighing over 66 lbs (30 kg) must be placed in a strong carrier to prevent escape.
