Avianca Airlines is a Colombian airline that operates a fleet of modern and efficient aircraft. The airline has a total of 158 aircraft in its fleet, which consists of Airbus and ATR planes.
The Airbus fleet includes A319, A320, A321, A330, and ATR planes. Avianca has a total of 89 Airbus planes, with the A320 being the most common type, with 49 planes in operation. The A319 and A321 models have 10 and 15 planes, respectively, while the A330 has 5 planes in the fleet. The airline also has 10 ATR planes, which are used for regional flights.
Avianca has made significant deals regarding aircraft in recent years. In 2015, the airline signed a purchase agreement with Airbus for 100 new planes, including A320neo, A321neo, and A330 models. The deal was valued at $10.6 billion and was the largest aircraft purchase in Latin America at the time. In 2019, Avianca also signed a lease agreement with Aircastle for 11 A320neo planes, which will be delivered between 2020 and 2021.
