Cayman Airways Pet Policy
Cayman Airways welcomes pets to travel with their owners on their flights. Whether you have a furry friend or a feathered companion, Cayman Airways has specific guidelines and fees in place to ensure the safety and comfort of both the pets and other passengers.
If you are planning to travel with your pet, it's important to make a reservation in advance. Cayman Airways allows a maximum of 4 pets as checked baggage on their flights, and a maximum of 2 pets in the cabin. In the cabin, one pet is allowed in business class and one in economy class. However, on Cayman Airways Express flights, only 2 pets are allowed, either both in the cabin in separate carriers if they are familiar with each other, or 1 in the cabin and 1 as checked baggage.
Dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, and household birds are welcome to fly in the cabin with Cayman Airways. Please note that animals traveling on Cayman Airways Express must not exceed 22 lbs (10 kg). There is a fee of $100 each way for pets traveling in the cabin to/from international destinations, and a fee of $50 each way for pets on domestic flights.

If your pet exceeds the limitations of travel in the cabin, they may be accepted as checked baggage instead. The weight limit for pets traveling as checked baggage is 99 lbs (44 kg) on Cayman Airways flights and 50 lbs (22 kg) on Cayman Airways Express flights. The fees for pets traveling as checked baggage are $125 each way for international destinations and $50 each way for domestic flights.
If your pet needs to travel unaccompanied, they can be transported as cargo instead. For more information on this option, you can contact the Cayman Airways Customer Service Team at 800-422-9626.
When it comes to carriers, there are specific requirements to ensure the safety and comfort of your pet. For pets traveling in the cabin with Cayman Airways, carriers must not exceed 23" L x 13" W (58 cm x 33 cm). For pets traveling in the cabin with Cayman Airways Express, carriers must not exceed 9" x 12" x 24" (22 cm x 30 cm x 60 cm). It is recommended to use a soft-sided carrier in the cabin. For pets traveling as checked baggage with Cayman Airways, carriers should be hard-sided and must not exceed 30" H x 23" W (76 cm x 58 cm).
