Czech Airlines History
Czech Airlines, also known as České aerolinie in Czech, is the national airline carrier of the Czech Republic. It was founded on October 6, 1923, making it one of the oldest airlines in the world. Originally known as Czechoslovak State Airlines, it started its operations with a single route connecting Prague to Bratislava.
Throughout its history, Czech Airlines has faced various challenges and changes. During World War II, the airline was forced to suspend its operations. However, it resumed services after the war and expanded its network to include destinations in Europe, Asia, and North America.
In the 1990s, following the dissolution of Czechoslovakia, Czech Airlines became the national carrier of the newly formed Czech Republic. This period marked a significant growth for the airline, with the introduction of new routes and the modernization of its fleet.
