Etihad Airlines: Aircraft Fleet
Etihad Airlines is a flag carrier and the second-largest airline of the United Arab Emirates. The airline operates a mixed fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft to cater to its passengers' needs. Etihad Airways has a total of 102 aircraft in its fleet.
The airline's fleet consists of Airbus A320, A321, A330, A350, and A380, as well as Boeing 787 Dreamliner and 777 aircraft. The Airbus A320 family is the backbone of Etihad Airways' short-haul fleet, with 23 A320s and 5 A321s in operation. The airline's long-haul fleet comprises 29 Airbus A330s, 19 Boeing 787 Dreamliners, and 19 Boeing 777s.
Etihad Airways has made significant deals regarding aircraft in the past. In 2008, the airline placed an order for 100 Airbus aircraft, including 10 A380s, which was the largest single order in aviation history at that time. In 2013, Etihad Airways ordered 56 Boeing aircraft, including 25 777Xs, which was the largest order for the 777X at that time. The airline also has a codeshare agreement with Air Arabia, which operates a fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft.
