Frontier Airlines: Aircraft Fleet
Frontier Airlines is a low-cost carrier based in Denver, Colorado, operating flights to over 100 destinations in the United States, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. The airline has a fleet of 106 aircraft, consisting of Airbus A319, A320, A320neo, A321, and A321neo models.
The Airbus A320 family is the backbone of Frontier's fleet, with a total of 85 aircraft in service. The A320neo and A321neo models are the newest additions to the fleet, featuring improved fuel efficiency and range. Frontier has 34 A320neo and 20 A321neo aircraft on order, which will gradually replace the older A319 and A320 models.
In addition to its own fleet, Frontier has also made significant deals with aircraft lessors to expand its operations. In 2020, the airline signed a lease agreement with DAE Capital for 12 Airbus A321neo aircraft, which will be delivered between 2021 and 2022. The deal also includes an option for 10 additional A321neo aircraft.
Frontier's aircraft are configured with a single-class cabin, featuring comfortable seats with adjustable headrests and ample legroom. Passengers can also purchase extras such as seat assignments, checked baggage, and in-flight meals and drinks.
