Iberia Airlines: Aircraft Fleet
Iberia Airlines is the flag carrier airline of Spain and is one of the oldest airlines in the world. The airline operates a fleet of 135 aircraft, which includes both narrow-body and wide-body planes.
The narrow-body fleet of Iberia Airlines consists of Airbus A319, A320, and A321 aircraft. The airline has a total of 19 A319s, 23 A320s, and 11 A321s in its fleet. These planes are used for short and medium-haul flights within Europe and North Africa.
The wide-body fleet of Iberia Airlines consists of Airbus A330 and A350 aircraft. The airline has a total of 17 A330s and 8 A350s in its fleet. These planes are used for long-haul flights to destinations in the Americas, Asia, and Oceania.
In addition to its own fleet, Iberia Airlines has also made significant deals regarding aircraft. In 2018, the airline signed a deal with Boeing to purchase 20 737 MAX 8 aircraft, with an option for an additional 20 planes. However, due to the grounding of the 737 MAX, the delivery of these planes has been delayed.
