Icelandair Partnerships & Alliances
Icelandair is currently not part of any major airline alliance. However, the airline has codeshare agreements with several other carriers to expand its network and offer more destinations to its passengers.
One of Icelandair's major codeshare partners is Alaska Airlines, which allows Icelandair passengers to connect to various destinations in the United States, including cities on the West Coast and Hawaii. Icelandair also has codeshare agreements with several European airlines, such as Finnair, SAS, and British Airways, which provide access to more destinations in Europe.
In addition to codeshare agreements, Icelandair has formed partnerships with other airlines and corporations. One notable partnership is with Air Iceland Connect, a regional airline that operates flights within Iceland and to nearby destinations in Greenland and the Faroe Islands. Icelandair and Air Iceland Connect have a codeshare agreement, allowing passengers to easily connect between the two airlines.
Another partnership is with JetBlue, an American low-cost airline. Icelandair and JetBlue have a codeshare agreement that allows passengers to connect between the two airlines at Boston Logan International Airport and John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City. This partnership provides access to more destinations in the United States and the Caribbean.
Lastly, Icelandair has a joint venture with Alaska Airlines, forming the Alaska-Icelandair partnership. This partnership allows passengers to book flights on both airlines with a single itinerary, providing seamless travel between the United States, Iceland, and beyond.
