JetBlue Pet Policy
JetBlue is a pet-friendly airline that allows small cats and dogs to travel in the cabin on both domestic and international flights. To ensure the comfort and safety of all passengers, there are certain guidelines and restrictions that pet owners must adhere to.
Pets in the Passenger Cabin: JetBlue accepts small cats and dogs in the cabin if the combined weight of the pet and carrier does not exceed 20 lbs (9 kg). During the entire journey, pets must remain completely in the carrier with the door closed and must be placed under the seat. It is important to note that there is a fee of $125 each way for this service.
Pets as Checked Baggage: Unfortunately, JetBlue does not allow pets to travel as checked baggage. Therefore, if you are planning to travel with your pet, they must accompany you in the cabin.

Allowed Weights & Dimensions: For pets traveling in the cabin, carriers must not exceed 17" x 12.5" x 8.5" (43 cm x 31 cm x 21 cm). This ensures that the carrier can fit comfortably under the seat. It is also important that animals are able to stand up and move around the carrier with ease. Additionally, carriers must have a leak-proof bottom and be well-ventilated on at least two sides. JetBlue considers pets as your personal item, so they should not exceed the carry-on allowance.
Restrictions & Limitations: While JetBlue is pet-friendly, there are a few restrictions and limitations to keep in mind. Animals are not accepted in the Mint cabin of JetBlue airplanes. Additionally, there is a limit of six pets allowed on each flight, so it is recommended to book early to secure a spot for your pet. Each traveler is allowed a maximum of two pets, with each pet traveling in their own carrier. If you wish to bring a second pet, you will need to purchase a second seat and pay an additional pet fee.
Keep in mind that air carriers can change these policies at any time, so you should always check directly with the airline you are traveling on before you book for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
