Jetstar Airways: Aircraft Fleet
Jetstar Airways is an Australian low-cost airline that operates a fleet of modern and fuel-efficient aircraft. The airline has a total of 132 aircraft in its fleet, which includes both narrow-body and wide-body planes.
The majority of Jetstar Airways' fleet consists of Airbus A320 family aircraft, with a total of 71 planes. This includes 51 Airbus A320-200s and 20 Airbus A321-200s. These planes are used for short to medium-haul flights within Australia and to destinations in the Asia-Pacific region.
In addition to the Airbus A320 family, Jetstar Airways also operates Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft for its long-haul flights. The airline has a total of 11 Boeing 787-8s in its fleet, which are used for flights to destinations such as Hawaii, Japan, and Thailand.
Jetstar Airways has also made significant deals regarding its aircraft fleet. In 2013, the airline signed a deal with Airbus to purchase 14 A320neo aircraft, which are more fuel-efficient and have lower emissions than the A320s currently in the fleet. The airline also has options to purchase an additional 10 A320neo planes.
