Kenya Airways is the flag carrier airline of Kenya, headquartered in Nairobi. The airline operates a fleet of modern aircraft to cater to its passengers' needs. The airline has a total of 39 aircraft in its fleet.
The aircraft in Kenya Airways' fleet include the Boeing 737, 787 Dreamliner, Embraer E190, and the Bombardier Dash 8 Q400. The airline has 10 Boeing 737 aircraft, 6 Boeing 787 Dreamliners, 15 Embraer E190s, and 8 Bombardier Dash 8 Q400s.
Kenya Airways has made significant deals regarding its aircraft fleet. In 2018, the airline signed a lease agreement with General Electric (GE) for the lease of two Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. The deal was worth $300 million and was aimed at expanding the airline's long-haul routes.
The airline has also signed a deal with Embraer for the purchase of 15 E190-E2 jets. The deal, worth $2.1 billion, was signed in 2018 and was aimed at replacing the airline's aging Fokker 50 aircraft. The E190-E2 jets are expected to be delivered to the airline between 2020 and 2021.
