Korean Air: Aircraft Fleet
Korean Air is one of the largest airlines in Asia and operates a modern fleet of aircraft. The airline has a total of 167 aircraft in its fleet, which includes both passenger and cargo planes.
The majority of Korean Air's fleet consists of Boeing aircraft, with a total of 109 planes from this manufacturer. The airline operates a mix of narrow-body and wide-body planes, including the Boeing 737, 747, 777, and 787 Dreamliner. In addition, Korean Air also has 10 Airbus A220-300 planes in its fleet, which are used for short-haul flights.
Aside from its own fleet, Korean Air has also made significant deals with other aircraft manufacturers. The airline signed a deal with Boeing to purchase 20 787 Dreamliner planes, which will be delivered to the airline between 2022 and 2025. This deal is worth approximately $6.3 billion and will help Korean Air to expand its long-haul routes.
Korean Air also has a cargo division, which operates a fleet of 23 cargo planes. The majority of these planes are Boeing 747-400 and 777F planes, which are used to transport cargo to destinations around the world.
