Lot Polish Airlines: Aircraft Fleet

Lot Polish Airlines, commonly known as LOT, is the flag carrier of Poland and one of the oldest airlines in the world. The airline operates a fleet of 80 aircraft, consisting of both narrow-body and wide-body planes.

The majority of LOT's fleet is comprised of Boeing aircraft, with 44 planes in service. This includes 14 Boeing 737-800s, 6 Boeing 737 MAX 8s, 6 Boeing 787-8s, 13 Boeing 787-9s, and 5 Boeing 787-10s. In addition, the airline also operates 6 Embraer E195s and 30 Bombardier Q400s for regional flights.

LOT has made significant deals in recent years to upgrade and expand its fleet. In 2018, the airline signed an agreement with Boeing to purchase up to 15 787-9 Dreamliners, with an option to buy an additional five planes. This deal was valued at over $2 billion and aimed to modernize LOT's long-haul fleet.

LOT has also been working to improve its sustainability efforts, with plans to introduce more fuel-efficient planes into its fleet. In 2020, the airline announced that it would be leasing four Airbus A350-900s from Air Lease Corporation, with the first plane expected to be delivered in 2022.
