Lufthansa: Aircraft Fleet
Lufthansa is a German airline that operates a fleet of more than 300 aircraft. The airline has a mix of narrow-body and wide-body aircraft, which are manufactured by Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, and Embraer.
The Airbus A320 family is the backbone of Lufthansa's narrow-body fleet, with a total of 107 aircraft in service. The airline also operates 48 Boeing 747s, which are used for long-haul flights. In addition, Lufthansa has a fleet of 19 Airbus A330s, 17 Airbus A340s, and 14 Airbus A350s, which are used for both short and long-haul flights.
Lufthansa has made significant deals regarding aircraft in recent years. In 2013, the airline placed an order for 59 Airbus A320neo aircraft, which are more fuel-efficient than the older A320 models. In 2019, Lufthansa also ordered 20 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, which will replace some of the older aircraft in the airline's fleet.
