Porter Airlines: Aircraft Fleet
Porter Airlines is a regional airline based in Toronto, Canada. The airline operates a fleet of 29 aircraft, all of which are manufactured by Bombardier Aerospace.
The airline's fleet consists of 29 Bombardier Q400 turboprop aircraft, which are configured with 74 seats in a single-class layout. The Q400 is a modern and fuel-efficient aircraft, which allows Porter Airlines to operate flights to smaller airports with shorter runways.
In 2013, Porter Airlines announced a significant deal with Bombardier Aerospace to purchase up to 30 CS100 aircraft, which are part of Bombardier's new C Series family of aircraft. However, the deal was later cancelled in 2017 due to noise concerns from local residents around the airline's main hub at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.
Despite the cancellation of the CS100 order, Porter Airlines continues to operate a modern and efficient fleet of Q400 aircraft, which allows the airline to offer convenient and comfortable air travel to its passengers.
