Sunwing Airlines is a Canadian low-cost airline that operates scheduled and chartered flights to various destinations in the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America, and the United States. The airline has a fleet of 43 aircraft that consists of Boeing and Airbus planes.
The Boeing aircraft in Sunwing's fleet include the 737-800 and the 737 MAX 8. The 737-800 is a narrow-body aircraft that can carry up to 189 passengers, while the 737 MAX 8 is a newer model that can accommodate up to 186 passengers. Sunwing has 24 Boeing 737-800 and 4 Boeing 737 MAX 8 planes in its fleet.
The Airbus planes in Sunwing's fleet include the A320-200 and the A321-200. The A320-200 is a narrow-body aircraft that can carry up to 180 passengers, while the A321-200 is a larger narrow-body aircraft that can accommodate up to 220 passengers. Sunwing has 11 Airbus A320-200 and 4 Airbus A321-200 planes in its fleet.
In addition to its current fleet, Sunwing has made significant deals in the past to expand its aircraft fleet. In 2018, the airline signed an agreement with Boeing to purchase four 737 MAX 8 aircraft, which were delivered in 2019. The airline also signed a deal with Airbus in 2015 to purchase ten A321-200 aircraft, which were delivered between 2016 and 2018.
