Thai Airways: Aircraft Fleet
Thai Airways, the flag carrier of Thailand, has a fleet of 82 aircraft that operate flights to 64 destinations in 34 countries. The airline has a mix of wide-body and narrow-body aircraft from different manufacturers.
The wide-body fleet of Thai Airways consists of Airbus A350, Airbus A380, Boeing 747, and Boeing 777 aircraft. The airline has 12 Airbus A350-900s, 6 Airbus A380-800s, 8 Boeing 747-400s, and 14 Boeing 777-300ERs. These aircraft are used for long-haul flights to destinations in Europe, North America, and Australia.
The narrow-body fleet of Thai Airways consists of Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 aircraft. The airline has 20 Airbus A320-200s and 22 Boeing 737-800s. These aircraft are used for short-haul flights to destinations in Asia.
In addition to its current fleet, Thai Airways has made significant deals to acquire new aircraft. In 2017, the airline signed a memorandum of understanding with Airbus to purchase 4 Airbus A350-900s and 7 Airbus A321s. The delivery of these aircraft is expected to begin in 2020.
