Uzbekistan Airways: Aircraft Fleet
Uzbekistan Airways, the national airline of Uzbekistan, operates a fleet of modern aircraft to serve its passengers. The airline has a total of 34 aircraft in its fleet.
The airline's fleet consists of different types of aircraft from leading manufacturers such as Boeing and Airbus. The most commonly used aircraft in the fleet are the Boeing 757-200 and the Airbus A320-200, with 6 and 10 aircraft respectively. The airline also operates the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, which is a newer addition to its fleet, with 3 aircraft currently in operation.
In addition to these aircraft, Uzbekistan Airways also has a number of regional aircraft such as the Embraer E190 and the Sukhoi Superjet 100. The airline has 5 Embraer E190 aircraft and 4 Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft in its fleet.
Uzbekistan Airways has made significant deals in the past to expand and modernize its fleet. In 2017, the airline signed a deal with Boeing to purchase four Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners, which are more fuel-efficient and have a longer range than the airline's older aircraft. The airline also signed a deal with Airbus in 2018 to purchase 10 Airbus A320neo aircraft, which are more environmentally friendly and have lower operating costs.
