Vietnam Airlines Pet Policy
Vietnam Airlines allows dogs, cats, and household birds to travel as checked baggage. To qualify for travel in the hold, pets must be relatively odor-free and well-behaved. The maximum combined weight of pets and carriers should not exceed 70 lbs (32 kg).
Each passenger is permitted to bring 1 animal in each carrier in the hold. The fees for traveling with pets vary depending on the weight of the animal and the travel zone. For animals up to 20 lbs (9 kg) traveling within Zone A, the fee is $50; for animals traveling within Zone B or between A and B, the fee is $175; for animals traveling within Zone C, or between C and A or B, the fee is $200; and for animals traveling between D and A, B, or C, the fee is $200.
For animals between 20-35 lbs (9-16 kg) traveling within Zone A, the fee is $75; for animals traveling within Zone B or between A and B, the fee is $125; for animals traveling within Zone C, or between C and A or B, the fee is $225; and for animals traveling between D and A, B, or C, the fee is $275.

For animals between 35-70 lbs (16-32 kg) traveling within Zone A, the fee is $125; for animals traveling within Zone B or between A and B, the fee is $250; for animals traveling within Zone C, or between C and A or B, the fee is $275; and for animals traveling between D and A, B, or C, the fee is $200.
The fee for pets on domestic flights is 500,000 VND for animals up to 20 lbs (9 kg), 800,000 VND for animals between 20-35 lbs (9-16 kg), and 1,200,000 VND for animals between 35-70 lbs (16-32 kg).
