Wizz Air is a Hungarian low-cost airline that operates in 44 countries across Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. As of August 2021, the airline has a fleet of 139 aircraft, which consists of Airbus A320 and A321neo models.
The Airbus A320 is a narrow-body aircraft that can carry up to 186 passengers. Wizz Air has 67 A320s in its fleet, making it the most commonly used aircraft by the airline. The Airbus A321neo is a stretched version of the A320 and can carry up to 239 passengers. Wizz Air has 72 A321neos in its fleet, making it the second most commonly used aircraft by the airline.
Wizz Air has made significant deals regarding its aircraft fleet. In June 2019, the airline signed a memorandum of understanding with Airbus for the purchase of 20 Airbus A321XLR aircraft. The A321XLR is a long-range version of the A321neo and will allow Wizz Air to expand its route network to destinations further away.
