Getting Around BMI Airport

The airport features a modern terminal building that significantly enhances the passenger experience. The terminal is divided into two levels, with ground level boarding gates (Gates 1–4) and second level gates (Gates 5–9). Gates 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 9 are equipped with jetways, making boarding more convenient. Although Gates 1, 2, and 7 are jetway capable, they are not currently equipped with jetways.

For those needing to collect their luggage, the terminal has two baggage carousels located at ground level. Business travelers can take advantage of conference rooms and a VIP lounge. Additionally, free wireless Internet access is available throughout the terminal, allowing passengers to stay connected while they wait for their flights.

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)

The Bloomington Central Illinois Regional Airport has one security checkpoint located on the main level of the terminal. This checkpoint is easily accessible for all passengers and is open daily from 4:00 am until the last flight of the day. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours prior to their scheduled departure time to allow enough time for security screening.

Fast Track Lanes and Locations

The Bloomington Central Illinois Regional Airport does not currently offer any fast track lanes for expedited security screening. However, TSA PreCheck is available for eligible passengers who have enrolled in the program. TSA PreCheck allows passengers to go through a dedicated security lane and keep on their shoes, belts, and light jackets, as well as leave laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags.
