Getting Around BUD Airport
The airport is divided into several key areas to help passengers navigate efficiently. Terminal 2A handles flights within the Schengen Area, while Terminal 2B is designated for flights outside the Schengen Area. The Sky Court is a central hub that connects these two terminals and serves as the main departure waiting hall and shopping area. This layout allows for a streamlined flow of passengers between different sections of the airport.
To move between Terminals 2A and 2B, passengers will pass through the Sky Court, which houses a variety of amenities including shops, restaurants, and business class lounges. Security & Screening

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
BUD has security checkpoints located at the entrance of each terminal. Terminal 2A and 2B have two security checkpoints each, while the main terminal has three. The security checkpoints are equipped with X-ray machines and metal detectors to ensure the safety of all passengers and their belongings. It is recommended that passengers arrive at the airport at least two hours before their flight to allow enough time for security checks.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
Passengers who wish to skip the regular security lines can use the Fast Track lanes located at each terminal. The Fast Track service is available for an additional fee and can be purchased online or at the airport. The Fast Track lanes are located next to the regular security checkpoints and are clearly marked. This service is especially useful for passengers who are running late or have a tight connection. Passport and immigration control is located at the arrival and departure areas of each terminal. Passengers arriving at Budapest Liszt Airport will need to go through passport control before collecting their luggage. The passport control area is located near the baggage claim area and is clearly marked. Passengers departing from Budapest Airport will need to go through passport control before boarding their flight. The passport control area is located after the security checkpoints and before the boarding gates. It is important to have all necessary travel documents ready before going through passport control to avoid delays.

Upon arrival at the airport, passengers can easily locate the baggage claim areas in each terminal. In the Main Terminal, the baggage claim area is located on the ground floor. In Terminal 2A, passengers can find the baggage claim area on the arrivals level, while in Terminal 2B, it is located on the ground floor.
