The airport features a single, 60,000 square foot terminal designed to efficiently manage passenger flow. The security checkpoint is centrally located, providing easy access to all departure gates once past security. The terminal is compact, making it easy to navigate between different areas without the need for long walks or additional transportation.
For dining and shopping, the main options include Turbo Grill, Radar Bar, and Copilot Coffee, all operated by Tailwind Concessions. These are conveniently located within the terminal, allowing travelers to grab a meal or a coffee without straying far from their gates. The gift shop at Gate 5 offers grab-and-go food items and local gifts, making it a handy stop for last-minute purchases. Security & Screening

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
Charlottesville Albemarle Airport has two security checkpoints located in the terminal building. The main checkpoint is located near the entrance of the terminal, while the second checkpoint is located near the gates for the Delta Airlines flights. Both checkpoints are equipped with state-of-the-art security technology to ensure the safety of all passengers and their belongings.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
There are no designated fast track lanes at Charlottesville Airport. However, TSA PreCheck is available for eligible passengers, which allows them to go through security screening more quickly and with less hassle. TSA PreCheck is available at both security checkpoints in the terminal building.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
CHO Airport does not have international flights, so there are no passport or immigration control locations within the airport. However, passengers traveling internationally will go through passport and immigration control at their destination airport.

The airport has both TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints available for passengers. The TSA checkpoint is located on the main level of the terminal, near the ticket counters. The TSA Pre Checkpoint is located to the left of the main TSA checkpoint and is available for eligible passengers who have enrolled in the TSA PreCheck program. Global Entry Locations
CHO does not currently have a Global Entry Enrollment Center on-site. However, there are several enrollment centers located within a reasonable driving distance of the airport. These enrollment centers allow for travelers to complete the Global Entry application process and schedule an interview with a Customs and Border Protection officer. Some nearby enrollment centers include the Richmond International Airport and the Washington Dulles International Airport.
