Getting Around CID Airport

The airport has a single terminal with 13 gates, making navigation straightforward. The terminal is divided into two main areas: the main concourse and the new concourse. Gates 1 through 3 are dedicated to Delta and Frontier airlines, while gates 4 through 9 are part of the newly constructed section. The remaining gates are easily accessible from the main concourse.

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)

The Eastern Iowa Airport has two security checkpoints located in the Main Terminal. The first checkpoint is located near the entrance to Concourse C, while the second checkpoint is located near the entrance to Concourse B. Both checkpoints are open from 4:00 am to 30 minutes prior to the last scheduled departure of the day. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes prior to their scheduled departure time to allow enough time for the security screening process.

Fast Track Lanes and Locations

The Eastern Iowa Airport does not currently offer Fast Track Lanes for expedited security screening. However, TSA PreCheck is available for eligible passengers. TSA PreCheck allows passengers to keep on their shoes, belts, and light jackets, and keep their laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags. TSA PreCheck is available at both security checkpoints at the Eastern Iowa Airport.

Passport & Immigration Control Locations

The Eastern Iowa Airport does not have international flights, so there are no passport or immigration control locations within the airport. However, passengers traveling internationally will go through passport and immigration control at their port of entry into the United States.

TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints

The Eastern Iowa Airport has both TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints for security screening. The TSA Pre Checkpoint is available for eligible passengers who have enrolled in the TSA PreCheck program. This program allows passengers to enjoy expedited screening, which means they can keep their shoes, belts, and light jackets on, and leave laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags. Global Entry Locations

The Eastern Iowa Airport does not have a Global Entry Enrollment Center, but there are several locations nearby where travelers can enroll in the program. The closest enrollment center is located in Cedar Rapids, which is about 10 miles away from the airport. The Global Entry program allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. This program includes TSA PreCheck benefits, and travelers can use Global Entry kiosks at participating airports to avoid long lines at customs and immigration.
