Getting Around IDA Airport
The terminal at the airport has undergone several expansions and renovations since its original construction in 1959. The layout is straightforward, with clear signage guiding passengers through the various sections. The main terminal is divided into areas for check-in, security, boarding, and baggage claim. The recent renovations have added new gates and a relocated TSA screening area, making it easier for passengers to navigate through the terminal efficiently.
For those looking to get around the terminal, here are a few tips:
- Check-in and Baggage Drop: The check-in counters and baggage drop are located near the entrance of the terminal. Be sure to arrive early to allow ample time for these processes.
- Security Screening: The TSA screening area has been relocated to streamline the process. Follow the signs to the security checkpoint after checking in.
- Boarding Gates: The terminal now features four new gates, making it easier to find your departure gate. Check the monitors for gate assignments and boarding times.
- Baggage Claim: The baggage claim area has been upgraded with two new carousels. After deplaning, follow the signs to the baggage claim area to retrieve your luggage.

Security & Screening

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
Idaho Falls Regional Airport has one security checkpoint located on the main level of the terminal building. The checkpoint is easily accessible from the ticketing and baggage claim areas. Passengers are advised to arrive at least 90 minutes before their scheduled departure time to allow enough time for security screening.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
Idaho Falls Airport does not currently offer fast track lanes for expedited security screening. However, TSA PreCheck is available for eligible passengers, allowing them to go through a dedicated security lane and keep on their shoes, belts, and light jackets. TSA PreCheck is located at the main security checkpoint.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
IDA Airport does not have international flights, therefore, there are no passport or immigration control locations at the airport.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
At the airport, the TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints are located near the main entrance of the terminal. Passengers can expect standard TSA security measures, including the removal of shoes, belts, and jackets, as well as the screening of carry-on items. TSA Pre Check is also available for eligible passengers, allowing for expedited security screening without the need to remove shoes, laptops, liquids, or belts. Passengers can apply for TSA Pre Check online or in-person at an enrollment center.

Global Entry Locations
IDA does not currently have a Global Entry enrollment center. However, there are several enrollment centers located within a reasonable driving distance, including in Salt Lake City, UT and Bozeman, MT. Global Entry is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. Applicants must complete a background check and in-person interview at an enrollment center before being approved for the program.
CLEAR Lane Locations

Food, Shops & Services
the airport may be small, but it still offers a variety of food and shopping options for travelers. If you're feeling hungry, head to the airport's restaurant, The Skyline Cafe, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu features classic American fare, including burgers, sandwiches, and salads. For a quick snack or beverage, there are also vending machines located throughout the airport.
In terms of shopping, there is a gift shop located in the terminal that sells souvenirs, snacks, and travel essentials. Additionally, there is a newsstand where you can purchase newspapers, magazines, and books to keep you entertained during your flight. While the options may be limited, these amenities are still a welcome addition to the airport experience.
If you need other services while at the airport, there is a business center with computers and printers available for use. The airport also offers free Wi-Fi, making it easy to stay connected while waiting for your flight. For those with disabilities, the airport has accessible restrooms and parking spaces, as well as wheelchair assistance upon request. while IDA may not have an abundance of food and shopping options, it still provides necessary amenities and services for travelers passing through.

Baggage Claim Areas
IDA Airport has two baggage claim areas located in the terminal building. Baggage claim for domestic flights is located on the east end of the terminal, while baggage claim for international flights is located on the west end. The baggage claim areas are easily accessible and well-lit, making it easy for passengers to locate their luggage.
