Grand Junction Regional Airport Terminal Map
Getting Around GJT Airport
The terminal at this airport is compact and easy to navigate, featuring a single passenger waiting area that includes amenities such as a gift shop and TV monitors. There are three gates equipped with jet bridges, primarily used for regional jets, and an additional gate that utilizes outdoor airstairs. This layout allows for straightforward movement between check-in, security, and boarding areas.
For specific gate information, Allegiant and American Eagle flights typically use gate 3, while United flights operate from gate 6. Signage throughout the terminal clearly indicates the locations of these gates, making it simple for travelers to find their way. Additionally, the centralized waiting area ensures that all essential services and facilities are within close proximity, minimizing the need for extensive walking.

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
Grand Junction Regional Airport has one security checkpoint located on the main level of the terminal building. Passengers are required to go through security screening before accessing the boarding gates. The airport advises passengers to arrive at least 90 minutes before their scheduled departure time to allow enough time for check-in and security screening.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
Grand Junction Airport does not currently offer any fast track lanes for expedited security screening. However, TSA PreCheck is available for eligible passengers, which allows them to use dedicated screening lanes and keep on their shoes, belts, and light jackets, as well as keep their laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags. TSA PreCheck is available at the security checkpoint at GJT.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
GJT Airport does not have any international flights, so there are no passport or immigration control locations at the airport. However, passengers traveling on domestic flights are still required to present valid identification before boarding their flight. Acceptable forms of identification include a state-issued driver's license or ID card, a passport, or a TSA-approved form of identification.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
The airport has TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints available for passengers. TSA Pre allows expedited screening for eligible travelers, meaning they can keep on their shoes, belts, and light jackets, and keep their laptops and liquids in their bags. To apply for TSA Pre, travelers must complete an online application and schedule an appointment for an in-person background check. TSA Pre is available for domestic and international flights.
