Getting Around FAR Airport
The terminal at FAR consists of a single, modern building that was last updated in 2008. This terminal includes five gates, a spacious baggage claim area, and an expanded security checkpoint. The layout is straightforward, making it relatively easy to navigate for both first-time and frequent travelers.
Upon entering the terminal, you'll find the ticketing and check-in counters directly ahead. The security checkpoint is centrally located, leading you to the concourse where the gates are situated. Signage throughout the terminal is clear and easy to follow. If you need assistance, information desks are available to help guide you.
For those with layovers or waiting times, the terminal offers various amenities, including dining options and retail shops. Seating areas are available near each gate, and restrooms are conveniently located throughout the concourse. TSA PreCheck is also available for expedited security screening. Overall, getting around the terminal is a seamless experience, thanks to its organized layout and helpful amenities.

Security & Screening
In this section, you will learn about the various security and screening facilities available at the airport, including the locations of security checkpoints, Fast Track lanes, and TSA PreCheck services. Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
The airport has two security checkpoints located on the main level of the terminal building. The first checkpoint is located near the entrance of the terminal, while the second checkpoint is located near the gate area. Both checkpoints are equipped with advanced screening technology to ensure the safety and security of all passengers and their belongings.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
Fast Track Lanes are available for passengers who want to expedite their security screening process. FAR offers a TSA PreCheck program that allows eligible passengers to use dedicated screening lanes and avoid the regular security lines. The TSA PreCheck lane is located at the first security checkpoint near the entrance of the terminal. Additionally, there is a Clear program available at Fargo Hector Airport that provides expedited security screening for eligible passengers.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
Fargo Airport has a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facility located on the main level of the terminal building. The CBP facility is responsible for processing international arrivals and departures, including passport and immigration control. The CBP facility is open during scheduled international flight arrivals and departures, and is staffed by CBP officers who are trained to assist passengers with the immigration and customs process.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
FAR Airport has TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints to ensure the safety and security of all passengers. The TSA Pre Checkpoint is available for eligible passengers who have enrolled in the TSA PreCheck program, allowing them to enjoy expedited screening and a more seamless travel experience. Passengers who have not enrolled in the program can still go through the regular TSA checkpoint.

Global Entry Locations
The airport does not currently have a Global Entry enrollment center on-site. However, there are several enrollment centers located within a reasonable distance from the airport, including in Minneapolis and Sioux Falls. Global Entry is a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. It is a great option for frequent international travelers looking to save time and hassle at the airport.
CLEAR Lane Locations
This airport does not currently have CLEAR Lanes. However, you still might be able to use CLEAR if you are traveling to or from another airport that does. You can easily check CLEAR airport locations and learn more about how to save a ton of time on your next trip!

Baggage Claim Areas
Upon arrival at Fargo Airport, passengers can easily locate the baggage claim areas. There are two baggage claim carousels located on the lower level of the terminal. The carousels are labeled with the flight numbers and airlines, making it easy for passengers to find their luggage. Baggage carts are also available near the baggage claim areas for passengers to use to transport their luggage to their next destination.
