Jackson Hole Airport Terminal Map
Getting Around JAC Airport
The airport features a single terminal with eleven hard stand gates, meaning passengers board their aircraft via ramps rather than jet bridges. This setup can be found in smaller regional airports and provides a straightforward boarding process. The terminal's layout is compact, making it relatively easy to navigate between gates, baggage claim, and other facilities.
Inside the terminal, travelers will find three baggage carousels located near the arrivals area, ensuring a quick and efficient luggage collection process. For dining options, there is a restaurant and gift shop situated post-security, offering a variety of food and retail choices for those waiting for their flights. Additionally, a cafe is available by the baggage claim area, providing a convenient spot for refreshments upon arrival.
To move efficiently through the terminal, consider the following tips:
- Check the gate number on your boarding pass and follow the clear signage to your gate.
- Utilize the restaurant and gift shop post-security for last-minute purchases and meals.
- Make use of the cafe near baggage claim if you need a quick bite or drink after landing.

Frequent Flier Terminal Tips
To help you navigate the airport terminals with ease, we’ve gathered the best advice and tips from JAC-based frequent travelers, flight attendants, pilots, and airport staff. Their first-hand insights will guide you through the terminals for a smoother journey. Here’s what they have to say:
Navigating the Airport
"Jackson Hole Airport is compact, but it can get busy during peak times. Arrive early to avoid any last-minute stress, especially if you're traveling during ski season. The signage is clear, so just follow the directions to your gate." — Emma R., Wilson, WY, December 2023
"If you're flying out early in the morning, the cafe near baggage claim is a great spot for a quick breakfast. It opens early, so you can grab a coffee and a snack before heading through security." — John D., Teton Village, WY, February 2024
Amenities & Services
"The restaurant post-security has some great local dishes. Try the bison burger if you have time for a sit-down meal. It's a taste of Wyoming that you won't want to miss." — Lisa M., Jackson, WY, March 2024
"Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the terminal, and it's pretty reliable. If you need to get some work done or pass the time, find a spot near one of the charging stations." — Michael K., Kelly, WY, May 2024
Security
"The TSA Pre Check line is a lifesaver, especially during peak travel times. It's located near the Delta Airlines check-in counter, and it makes the security process much faster." — Sarah T., Moose, WY, June 2024
"Remember that JAC has two security checkpoints. The one on the first floor is usually less crowded, so if you see a long line upstairs, head down to the first floor near the baggage claim." — David L., Wilson, WY, August 2024
Baggage
"The baggage claim area is small but efficient. Keep an eye on the screens to know which carousel your luggage will be on. It usually doesn't take long for the bags to start coming out." — Anna P., Jackson, WY, April 2024
"If you're traveling with ski gear, the airport staff are quite helpful. Make sure your equipment is properly tagged, and don't hesitate to ask for assistance if you need help with oversized items." — Robert H., Teton Village, WY, July 2024

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
JAC Airport has two security checkpoints, one located on the first floor and the other on the second floor. The first floor security checkpoint is located near the baggage claim area and is primarily used for passengers arriving at the airport. The second floor security checkpoint is located near the departure gates and is used for passengers departing from the airport. Both security checkpoints are equipped with state-of-the-art technology to ensure the safety and security of all passengers.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
The airport offers a Fast Track program for passengers who want to expedite the security screening process. The Fast Track program allows passengers to use a separate lane at the security checkpoint, which typically has shorter lines and wait times. The Fast Track lane is available at both security checkpoints and is accessible to passengers who have purchased the Fast Track program or have elite status with their airline. The Fast Track program can be purchased online or at the airport.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
JAC does not have a dedicated passport and immigration control area as it only operates domestic flights. However, passengers may be required to show a valid form of identification, such as a driver's license or passport, at the security checkpoint. Passengers should also ensure they have all necessary travel documents, such as visas or ESTA approvals, if traveling internationally from another airport.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
Jackson Hole Airport has both TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints to ensure a smooth and secure screening process for all travelers. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows eligible passengers to go through an expedited security screening process, which includes keeping on shoes, belts, and light jackets, as well as leaving laptops and liquids in carry-on bags. To be eligible for TSA Pre Check, travelers must apply and pass a background check. The TSA Pre Checkpoint at Jackson Hole Airport is located near the Delta Airlines check-in counter.
