Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
The Savannah Hilton Head Airport has two security checkpoints located on the main terminal's first floor. The first checkpoint is located near the Delta Airlines ticket counter, and the second checkpoint is located near the United Airlines ticket counter. Passengers are advised to arrive at least two hours before their flight departure time to allow enough time for security screening.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
The Savannah Hilton Head Airport offers a TSA PreCheck program that allows eligible passengers to use the fast track lanes for security screening. The TSA PreCheck lanes are available at both security checkpoints in the main terminal. Additionally, the airport offers a CLEAR program that provides expedited security screening for members. CLEAR members can use a dedicated lane at the security checkpoint, allowing them to skip the regular security line. The CLEAR program is available at the main terminal's first-floor security checkpoint.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
The Savannah Hilton Head Airport has a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facility located in the main terminal's baggage claim area. Passengers arriving from international destinations are required to go through the CBP facility for passport and immigration control. The CBP facility is open daily from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Passengers are advised to have all necessary travel documents ready for inspection upon arrival.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
At SAV, passengers can expect to find TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints located at the main terminal. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows expedited screening for pre-approved, low-risk travelers. This program allows passengers to keep on their shoes, belts, and light jackets, and keep their laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags. TSA Pre Check is available for US citizens and lawful permanent residents, as well as members of the US Armed Forces. To enroll in TSA Pre Check, passengers can apply online or visit an enrollment center.

Global Entry Locations
Global Entry is a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers entering the United States. At Savannah Hilton Head Airport, passengers can find Global Entry locations at the main terminal. To enroll in Global Entry, passengers must complete an online application and schedule an interview at a Global Entry enrollment center. Once approved, members can use automated kiosks to complete their entry into the United States. Global Entry is available to US citizens, US lawful permanent residents, and citizens of select countries with which the US has trusted traveler agreements.

The airport has two baggage claim carousels, one for domestic flights and another for international flights. Passengers are advised to check the flight information displays to confirm which carousel their luggage will arrive on. The baggage claim area is equipped with baggage carts for passengers to use free of charge.
