Getting Around SHV Airport
The terminal at SHV Airport is compact and straightforward, making navigation relatively easy for travelers. The terminal consists of a single building with two security checkpoints that lead to the concourse area. This layout ensures that all gates are within a short walking distance from the main entrance and amenities, minimizing the time and effort required to get to your flight.
For added convenience, the terminal offers wireless internet access throughout the building, allowing you to stay connected while you wait for your flight. A restaurant is conveniently located between the two security checkpoints, providing a place to relax and dine before or after passing through security. Additionally, the terminal features clear signage to guide you to various services, including baggage claim, restrooms, and customer service desks.
To further assist with navigation, here are some tips:
- Check the airport's digital displays for real-time flight information and gate assignments.
- If you need assistance, look for airport staff or information desks located near the main entrance and security checkpoints.
- Take advantage of the seating areas and charging stations available throughout the terminal to stay comfortable and keep your devices powered.

Additionally, discover the options for Global Entry and CLEAR, as well as opportunities to enroll or renew your TSA PreCheck membership for expedited screening. This guide will help you navigate the security procedures smoothly and efficiently.
Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
Shreveport Regional Airport has two security checkpoints located on the first floor of the terminal building. The first security checkpoint is located near the entrance of the terminal and is designated for passengers traveling on domestic flights. The second security checkpoint is located near the gate area and is designated for passengers traveling on international flights. Both checkpoints are equipped with full-body scanners and X-ray machines to ensure the safety and security of all passengers.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
Shreveport Airport offers a Fast Track program for passengers who want to expedite their security screening process. The Fast Track program allows passengers to use a dedicated lane at the security checkpoint, which can significantly reduce wait times. The Fast Track lane is located at the first security checkpoint near the entrance of the terminal and is available to passengers who have purchased the Fast Track service.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
SHV Airport does not have a dedicated passport and immigration control area as it only operates domestic flights. However, passengers traveling on international flights will go through immigration and customs at their final destination. Passengers should ensure they have all necessary travel documents and visas before boarding their flight to avoid any delays or issues upon arrival at their destination.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
The airport has TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints to ensure the safety and security of all passengers. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows expedited screening for eligible passengers, which can save time and hassle at the airport. To participate in TSA Pre Check, travelers must apply and be approved in advance, and then they can use dedicated lanes for faster screening.

Once approved, Global Entry members can use automated kiosks to bypass the regular customs and passport control lines when entering the U.S. from abroad.
