Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)

The Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport has one security checkpoint located on the first floor of the terminal building. Passengers are required to go through security screening before entering the gate area. The airport recommends arriving at least 90 minutes before your scheduled departure time to allow enough time for security screening and other pre-flight procedures.

Fast Track Lanes and Locations

The Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport does not offer fast track lanes for passengers. However, the airport does offer TSA PreCheck, which allows eligible passengers to use expedited screening lanes. Passengers who are enrolled in TSA PreCheck can use the designated lane at the airport's security checkpoint. To enroll in TSA PreCheck, passengers must apply online and complete an in-person appointment at an enrollment center.

Passport & Immigration Control Locations

The Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport does not have international flights, so there are no passport or immigration control locations at the airport. However, passengers traveling on domestic flights are still required to provide valid government-issued identification, such as a driver's license or passport, to pass through security screening and board their flight.

TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints

If you're flying out of ITH Airport, you'll need to go through TSA security checkpoints before boarding your flight. TSA PreCheck is also available for eligible passengers, allowing them to go through a faster, expedited screening process. To participate in TSA PreCheck, you must apply and be approved through the TSA's PreCheck program.

Global Entry Locations

The airport does not currently have a Global Entry enrollment center on site. However, there are several enrollment centers located within driving distance of the airport, including in Syracuse and Rochester. Global Entry is a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. To participate in Global Entry, you must apply and be approved through the program's application process.

CLEAR Lane Locations

Baggage Claim Areas

Upon arrival at Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport, passengers can easily locate the baggage claim area. The airport has a single baggage claim carousel located in the main terminal building. The baggage claim area is clearly marked and easily accessible from the arrival gates. Passengers are advised to keep their baggage tags safe as they will be required to present them to collect their luggage.
