Getting Around VLC Airport
Valencia Airport features a single terminal divided into three interconnected sections. When navigating the landside area, you'll find three distinct check-in zones. The newest area, housing check-in counters 1-12, is located above the airport's train station. The oldest section, with counters 13-42, is situated in the main building, while the largest annex, accommodating counters 43-56, serves most airlines. These areas are seamlessly connected, making it straightforward to move between them.
After checking in, passengers proceed through a central security checkpoint that leads to the airside area. The gates are numbered 1-22, with gates 1-4 dedicated to non-Schengen flights. Gates 12-22 are part of a regional terminal, primarily used by Iberia Regional and low-cost carriers, and allow for walk-boarding. Some gates are equipped with jet bridges for added convenience. The airside area also offers a variety of dining and shopping options to enhance your travel experience.

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
The airport has several security checkpoints located throughout the terminal. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport with enough time to go through security screening before their flight. The main security checkpoint is located on the ground floor of the terminal, near the check-in counters. There are also additional security checkpoints located near the boarding gates for certain flights.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
VLC offers a Fast Track service for passengers who want to skip the regular security lines and get through security screening faster. The Fast Track service is available for a fee and can be purchased online or at the airport. The Fast Track lanes are located at the main security checkpoint on the ground floor of the terminal, near the check-in counters. Passengers who have purchased the Fast Track service can use these lanes to get through security screening faster.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
Passport and immigration control at Valencia Airport is located on the first floor of the terminal, after security screening. Passengers arriving at the airport from international destinations will need to go through passport control before they can enter Spain. Passengers departing from Valencia Airport on international flights will also need to go through passport control before boarding their flight. There are several passport control booths located throughout the terminal to accommodate the volume of passengers passing through the airport.

Baggage Claim Areas
The airport has multiple baggage claim areas located in both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Passengers can easily locate the baggage claim areas by following the signs throughout the airport. The baggage claim areas are equipped with conveyor belts to transport luggage from the plane to the passengers waiting to retrieve their bags. It is important to keep your baggage claim ticket handy as it will be required to retrieve your luggage.
