Getting Around BHX Airport
At BHX, navigating the terminal is straightforward due to its consolidation into one large building. This structure merges what were previously two separate terminals. All check-in desks and arrivals are conveniently located on the ground floor, making it easy for you to find where you need to go upon entering. The gates are organized numerically: gates 1-20 are situated in the area of the former Terminal 2, and all other gates are in the former Terminal 1 area.
Once you've checked in, you'll head to the first floor for security. This level also houses a variety of shops and restaurants, providing a comfortable space to relax or grab a bite before your flight. Here are some tips to help you navigate inside the airport:

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
The airport has several security checkpoints located throughout both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport with plenty of time to spare, as queues at security can be long during peak travel periods. It is recommended that passengers remove any liquids, gels, or electronics from their carry-on luggage before going through security to speed up the process.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
Passengers who wish to bypass the regular security queues can purchase access to the Fast Track lanes. These lanes are available in both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 and can be accessed by purchasing a Fast Track pass online or at the airport. The Fast Track lanes are located near the regular security checkpoints and are clearly marked with signage.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
Passport and immigration control at BHX is located in the arrivals area of both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Passengers arriving from international destinations will need to present their passport and any necessary visas to the immigration officer. UK and EU citizens can use the ePassport gates to speed up the process, while non-EU citizens will need to go through a manual passport check.
