Fort Wayne Airport Terminal Map
Getting Around FWA Airport
Fort Wayne International Airport features a straightforward terminal layout with ten shared-use gates. The airport's gate system allows any airline serving the airport to use any gate, which can be particularly convenient for travelers. The terminal is organized into two levels: the first floor houses Gates 1 through 4, while the second floor accommodates Gates 5 through 10.
On the first floor, Gates 1 and 3 are uncovered, whereas Gate 2 offers a Commute-a-Walk covered walkway for added comfort. Gate 4 is equipped with a half-height jetway, which was added in 2015. For those needing to access the second-floor gates, Gates 5 through 10, these gates are accessible via jetways, making boarding more efficient, especially for larger aircraft. Gates 5 through 8 are particularly versatile, capable of handling a range of aircraft sizes from regional jets to larger Airbus models.
To navigate between floors, travelers can use escalators and elevators located within the terminal. Clear signage throughout the airport helps guide passengers to their respective gates, amenities, and services. For a smoother experience, it is advisable to check the gate assignments upon arrival, as the shared-use system means gate assignments can change.

Discover details on passport and immigration control, Global Entry, and CLEAR lanes. Additionally, find out how to renew or enroll in TSA PreCheck for faster travel and take advantage of exclusive offers. This guide ensures you are well-prepared for a smooth and efficient security screening experience.
Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
FWA Airport has two security checkpoints located in the terminal building. The first checkpoint is located near the ticket counters, while the second checkpoint is located near the gates. Both checkpoints are equipped with advanced technology to ensure the safety and security of passengers and their belongings. It is recommended that passengers arrive at the airport at least two hours before their scheduled departure time to allow enough time for security screening.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
The airport does not currently offer fast track lanes for expedited security screening. However, TSA PreCheck is available for eligible passengers, which allows them to use dedicated screening lanes and keep on their shoes, belts, and light jackets, as well as leave laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags. TSA PreCheck is available at both security checkpoints at FWA.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
Fort Wayne Airport does not have international flights, so there are no passport or immigration control locations within the airport. However, passengers traveling internationally from nearby airports such as Chicago O'Hare or Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport will go through passport and immigration control upon arrival in the United States.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
Fort Wayne Airport has both TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints for passengers to go through before boarding their flights. The TSA Checkpoint is located in the main terminal, and all passengers are required to go through this checkpoint before boarding their flights. The TSA Pre Checkpoint is also located in the main terminal and is available for eligible passengers who have enrolled in the TSA PreCheck program. This program allows passengers to go through a faster and more convenient security screening process, without having to remove their shoes, belts, and light jackets, or take out their laptops and liquids from their carry-on bags.

Global Entry Locations
FWA Airport does not currently have a Global Entry Enrollment Center, but there are several enrollment centers located in nearby cities, such as Indianapolis and Chicago. Global Entry is a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. This program also includes TSA PreCheck benefits, so passengers who are enrolled in Global Entry can also use the TSA PreCheck lanes at the airport. To enroll in Global Entry, passengers must complete an online application, schedule an interview at an enrollment center, and pay a fee.
