Getting Around HAM Airport
HAM Airport features two interconnected terminals: Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Terminal 1 caters to most airlines, including those of the Oneworld and SkyTeam alliances, while Terminal 2 serves Star Alliance airlines. These terminals are linked by the Airport Plaza, which is central to the airport’s layout. The Airport Plaza is a key area for travelers as it houses the central security check, various shops, restaurants, lounges, and other service facilities. Additionally, the baggage claim area extends through the lower levels of all three buildings, making it easy for passengers to retrieve their luggage regardless of their arrival terminal.
For departures, level 1 in both terminals is dedicated to check-in and boarding, featuring a total of 44 departure gates. Arrivals are handled on level 0, which also includes ten additional bus gates. The arrivals level is equipped with 12 baggage claim belts, ensuring efficient luggage handling. For those needing to access public transportation, the suburban railway station is conveniently located within the Airport Plaza. Navigating between terminals is straightforward due to the seamless connection provided by the Airport Plaza, making transfers and access to amenities simple and efficient.
