Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)

The airport has security checkpoints located in each of its three terminals: Terminal A, Terminal B, and Terminal C. Passengers are required to go through security screening before entering the gate area. The security checkpoints are equipped with X-ray machines and metal detectors to ensure the safety of all passengers and their belongings. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least two hours before their flight to allow enough time for the security screening process.

Fast Track Lanes and Locations

SNA offers a Fast Track program for passengers who want to expedite their security screening process. The Fast Track program is available at all three security checkpoints in Terminal A, Terminal B, and Terminal C. Passengers who enroll in the program can use dedicated lanes that are designed to move them quickly through the security screening process. The Fast Track program is available for a fee and can be purchased online or at the airport.

Passport & Immigration Control Locations

Orange County John Wayne Airport has a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facility located in Terminal B. Passengers arriving from international destinations are required to go through passport and immigration control at this facility. The CBP facility is equipped with automated passport control kiosks that allow passengers to complete their immigration and customs declarations electronically. The facility also has dedicated lanes for Global Entry members, who are able to bypass the regular passport control lines. Passengers are advised to allow enough time for the passport and immigration control process, especially during peak travel periods.

TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints

Orange County Airport has both TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints available for travelers. The TSA checkpoint is located on the Departure Level, while the TSA Pre Checkpoint is located on the Arrival Level. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows eligible travelers to enjoy expedited security screening at participating airports. To use TSA Pre Check, travelers must apply and be approved for the program, and then provide their Known Traveler Number (KTN) when booking their flights.

Global Entry is a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States.
