Terminal A at Boston Logan Airport serves as a hub primarily for Delta Air Lines, handling domestic flights. This terminal, which opened on March 16, 2005, features a main terminal with 11 gates and a satellite terminal with 10 gates, connected via an underground pedestrian tunnel. Delta Air Lines is the major operator here, with a Delta Sky Club located on the third floor of the satellite building and another Sky Club in the main terminal.
Travelers can access Terminal A via pre-security shuttle buses and the SL1 branch of the MBTA Silver Line BRT. Additionally, pre-security moving walkways connect Terminal A to Terminals B and E, as well as to a central parking garage. Although there is no direct post-security connection to other terminals from Terminal A, the efficient transport options make it easy for passengers to navigate between terminals.
Terminal A stands out as the first airport terminal in the United States to achieve LEED certification for its environmentally friendly design. Notable features include heat-reflecting roof and windows, low-flow faucets, waterless urinals, self-dimming lights, and stormwater filtration, making it a sustainable choice for eco-conscious travelers.
