Getting Around PSP Airport
PSP Airport features a main building and two concourses: the Sonny Bono Concourse and the Agua Caliente Concourse. The main building is where you'll find ticketing, baggage claim, and car rentals. To reach the gates, you'll pass through the security area located in the center of the main building. Once through security, you'll enter an open-air courtyard which leads to the concourses. This area includes amenities like a restaurant, coffee shop, and restrooms. Remember, the walkways connecting these areas are outdoors, so be prepared for the weather.
The Sonny Bono Concourse, to the north, services larger aircraft and includes gates 4-11, all equipped with jet bridges. This concourse is accessible via an outdoor escalator and walkway. To the south, the Agua Caliente Concourse, also known as the Regional Concourse, includes gates 12-20. This area primarily handles smaller aircraft and uses ramps or airstairs for boarding. Both concourses offer dining options and shops to browse while you wait for your flight.
Here are a few tips to help you navigate the airport efficiently:- Familiarize yourself with the gate number on your boarding pass as it will help you determine which concourse you'll need to head to.- Since the walkways are outdoors, it's a good idea to check the weather on the day of your flight and dress appropriately.- Take note of the amenities located in the courtyard after security for any last-minute needs.
Check the concourses and terminals for all airlines serving PSP Airport before you travel.
