KUL Airport Transportation Options

Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) offers a variety of transportation options to help you reach your destination. From taxis and limousines to trains and buses, there are several ways to travel from the airport to Kuala Lumpur and beyond.

Taxis & Limousines

Airport Limo provides taxi and limousine services to Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. They offer four types of services: budget taxi, premier limo, super luxury, and family service for up to 8 passengers. You can obtain a coupon at the following counters in the arrivals hall of the main terminal:

  • After customs, before the public arrival area of the international arrivals hall
  • Public area after domestic baggage clearance of the domestic arrival hall
  • Arrival level of domestic baggage reclaim

Private Shuttles & Buses

  • Express Coach: Serves KL Sentral. Located on the ground level of short-term carpark Block C, with a seating area, ticketing counter, cafe, and restrooms. Contact: +603 8787 3894.
  • Aerobus: Travels to Klang and Shah Alam. Contact: +603 3344 2999.
  • Airport Liner: Connects LCCT/CLIA2 and Nilai. Contact: +606 8787 3894.
  • City Liner: Runs between KLIA1 and Banting. Contact: +606 794 1494.
  • Sepang Omnibus: Serves Banti, Nilai Bukit, and Changgang. Contact: +6016 296 5332.
  • Star Shuttle: Goes to Pudu Raya, Batu 3, Jalan Ipoh, and hotels in KL town center. Contact: +603 4043 8811.

Ride-Share Services

Ride-share services like Grab are available at KUL. Designated pick-up and drop-off points are located outside the arrivals area. Use the app to book your ride and follow signs to the pick-up zone.

Rental Cars

Rental car facilities are located in the main terminal. Providers include Avis, Hertz, and Europcar. Visit their counters in the arrivals hall for bookings and inquiries.

Public Transportation

Two train services connect KUL to the city:

  • KLIA Express: Direct service from KLIA2 to the City Center, stopping at KLIA1. Takes 33 minutes. Runs 5am-1am, with varying frequencies.
  • KLIA Transit: Stops at Salak Tinggi, Putrajaya, and Bandar Tasik Selatan before reaching KL Sentral. Takes 39 minutes. Runs every 30 minutes.

Bus services include:

  • Airport Liner and City Liner buses between KLIA1 and KLIA2. One-way fare is RM1.50 for City Liner and RM3 for Airport Liner.

Accessibility and Additional Services

The KLIA Ekspres train is wheelchair accessible. The airport also offers moving walkways and other accessibility services. Hotel shuttles and short-term parking are available for convenience.
