Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)

ABI Airport has one security checkpoint located at the entrance of the main terminal. Passengers are required to go through the security checkpoint before entering the boarding area. The security checkpoint is equipped with X-ray machines and metal detectors to screen passengers and their belongings. It is recommended that passengers arrive at least 90 minutes before their scheduled departure time to allow enough time for the security screening process.

Fast Track Lanes and Locations

The airport does not currently offer fast track lanes for passengers. However, passengers with disabilities or medical conditions may request assistance from the airport staff to expedite the security screening process. Additionally, TSA PreCheck members are eligible for expedited screening at the security checkpoint. Passengers can apply for TSA PreCheck online or in-person at an enrollment center.

Passport & Immigration Control Locations

ABI does not have international flights, therefore, there are no passport or immigration control locations at the airport. However, passengers traveling to international destinations from Abilene Regional Airport will need to go through passport and immigration control at their final destination. It is recommended that passengers check the entry requirements for their destination country and ensure they have the necessary travel documents before departing from Abilene Airport.

TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints

ABI Airport has both TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints. The TSA Pre Checkpoint allows eligible passengers to go through security screening faster and with less hassle. To be eligible for TSA Pre, passengers must go through a pre-screening process and pay a fee. The TSA Checkpoint is available for all passengers and follows standard security procedures. It is recommended that passengers arrive at least 2 hours before their scheduled departure time to allow for enough time to go through security.

Global Entry Locations

The airport does not have a Global Entry Enrollment Center. However, there are several enrollment centers located nearby in major cities such as Dallas and Houston. Global Entry is a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers entering the United States. To enroll in Global Entry, passengers must apply online, undergo a background check, and complete an in-person interview at an enrollment center. Once approved, Global Entry members can use automated kiosks to expedite the customs process when entering the United States from abroad.

CLEAR Lane Locations

Abilene Regional Airport may be small, but it still offers a decent selection of food and shopping options for travelers passing through. If you're feeling hungry, head to the airport's lone restaurant, Hangar 25, located near the main terminal. This restaurant serves up classic American fare, including burgers, sandwiches, and salads. There's also a bar area where you can grab a drink before your flight.

Abilene Regional Airport has one baggage claim area located on the lower level of the main terminal.
