Getting Around OAJ Airport
The airport features a straightforward layout with a single terminal building, making navigation relatively easy for travelers. The terminal is divided into two floors: the first floor hosts rental car services, while the second floor is where you'll find the three gates used for boarding flights. This compact design ensures that all essential services are within close proximity, minimizing the time spent moving between different areas.
For passengers arriving or departing, the check-in counters and security checkpoints are conveniently located on the first floor. After passing through security, head to the second floor to access the gates. The limited number of gates means that finding your way to the correct boarding area is simple and quick. Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
OAJ Airport has two security checkpoints located in the main terminal building. The first checkpoint is located near the entrance of the terminal and the second checkpoint is located near the gates. Both checkpoints are equipped with state-of-the-art technology to ensure the safety and security of all passengers and their belongings. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least two hours before their scheduled departure time to allow enough time for security screening.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
The airport offers a Fast Track service for passengers who want to bypass the regular security lines and get to their gate quickly. The Fast Track service is available to all passengers for a fee and can be purchased online or at the airport. The Fast Track lanes are located at both security checkpoints in the main terminal building. Passengers who use the Fast Track service can expect to get through security in a matter of minutes.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
The passport and immigration control area at OAJ is located in the main terminal building, near the baggage claim area. All international passengers are required to go through passport and immigration control before exiting the airport. The area is staffed by trained immigration officers who are responsible for verifying the identity and travel documents of all passengers. Passengers are advised to have all necessary documents ready and available for inspection to avoid delays in the immigration process.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
Ellis Airport has TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints for passengers to go through before boarding their flights. TSA (Transportation Security Administration) is responsible for ensuring the safety of passengers and their belongings during air travel. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows eligible passengers to go through expedited security screening, which means they can keep on their shoes, belts, and light jackets, and leave their laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags. To be eligible for TSA Pre Check, passengers must apply and be approved through the TSA Pre Check program.

Global Entry Locations
Ellis Airport is a Global Entry location, which means that eligible passengers can use the Global Entry program to expedite their entry into the United States after international travel. Global Entry is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection program that allows pre-approved, low-risk travelers to bypass the traditional customs and passport control lines and use automated kiosks instead. To be eligible for Global Entry, passengers must apply and be approved through the Global Entry program.

Baggage Claim Areas
OAJ has two baggage claim areas located in the lower level of the terminal building. Baggage from all arriving flights is delivered to these areas for passengers to retrieve. The baggage claim areas are easily accessible from the arrival gates and are clearly marked with signs. Passengers are advised to check the flight information screens for the assigned baggage claim area before proceeding to the lower level.
